Job Description We are looking for a very energetic and multitasking Accounting and Finance Assistant for our company to manage our accounting and financial processes. This motivated person will work cooperatively with other managers and departments to ensure the overall financial success of the billing processes. This role ensures the financial health of the practice by also optimizing revenue streams and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Duties & Responsibilities: Report to CBO (Consultant) / CEO Ensuring data on QuickBooks are correctly entered in a timely manner with proper requisitions, receipts with the right budget codes and signatures. Assisting the company with purchasing and negotiating with vendors on our behalf. Managing the day-to-day tracking of expenditures and profits for the company. Assisting with strategies for effective revenue cycle processes, including patient registration, insurance verification, charge capture, coding, billing, and collections. Working with the billing department to generate monthly and quarterly reports and reviewing billing activity for accuracy. Helping with accounting functions related to the revenue cycle, including accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA. Remaining updated on changes in healthcare billing and accounting standards. Assisting the billing department with data integrity and security within the billing and accounting systems. Keeping an eye on the budgets for our departments and submitting spending reports regularly. Organizing and presenting data reports from different departments for analysis purposes. Processing and preparing financial statements for the CBO. Helping with regular financial audits and implementing controls to safeguard the practice's financial assets. Preparing and analyzing financial statements, and reports. Supporting and processing other work as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, management, or other related field with at least 3 years of experience. Associate degree with at least 5 years of experience. Two years of experience working in accounting and finance. One year of experience in medical coding and /or billing is a plus. Solid understanding of accounting and finance procedures.
